New Friends!

A decent chunk of my time here in South Korea has been spent at the hostel hanging out with all the lovely people staying here. Some of them volunteer to work 3 hours a day with 1 day off each week in exchange for a free room to stay. The hostel has beds, showers, rice, coffee, games, a kitchen, and a bunch of other random stuff. It's an incredibly comfortable place to stay!

The first day here I woke up at 7am. Andrew was still asleep so I spent a few hours hanging out at the hostel. A couple of the people here gave me an idea of some of the interesting parts of the city. When Andrew finally woke up we went out to get breakfast and to start exploring. On the way there we ran into 3 travelers from Seoul and China who were headed into the same parts of the city as we were. We ended up spending the day with them and having a ton of fun!

    1. The only landmarks I've seen so far are the palace, and an area of the city that has more traditional architecture. The food isn't really different from Korean restaurants in Seattle. The deserts are interesting though! You can get ice cream and cotton candy!
